I haven’t been blogging much these last few weeks. There is just too much anticipation and the kids and I haven’t been doing all that much homeschooling either. They have been doing the basics and we finished up our last field trip. They helped me make galaxy paintings and have learned a little weaving in the making of their home birth bracelets. They’ve been cleaning and enduring my attitude and I think we are all ready for the baby to come….just not until Easter Sunday that is…
Ever since I found out I was pregnant and figured out my due date, I always thought it would be cool if the baby came on Easter Sunday. Well it’s exactly 1 week until Easter and 3 days until the baby is due. I feel like a ticking time bomb and at any moment the spontaneous onset of labor could start.
So in order to honor myself and my baby I decided to get a henna tattoo. I received on last time and it was so beautiful and a great way to commemorate that big belly I’ve spent so much time growing. I went with the same girl as last time and am so glad she still does henna. She does a great job and even does weddings etc. If you are in the local Detroit area you should check her out on Facebook or her website and see some of her amazing artwork. She came to me and was a pleasure to have in my home while my 4 kids watched movies and played.
It turned out so WELL!
After she was done, Jacob and I got to a photo session to capture some final images I have been wanting before this belly is gone. Enjoy!

Yvette loves babies and I know she is going to love this mystery brother/sister too!
With only days to go, I am trying to enjoy the last few moments I have with my big ‘ol belly and only 4 kids. It’s bittersweet but I think we are ready!
Beautiful!
